I looked forward to this treat, purchased at Costco, but what a disappointment! It tastes OK: vaguely of asparagus, lightly salted. But there are large woody pieces of asparagus that shatter in your mouth into a thousand splinters! I had to spit it out or risk having my esophagus pierced.

I am truly addicted to this candy! No other candy will do. I am older, 72 years, and can not eat most types of chewy candies. Hi Chews are a soft, chewy, and totally delicious delight! It is my go to when happy or sad! I have had stomach issues for years and have to watch what I eat, but Hi Chews do not hurt my tummy. My grandchildren love that I always have them! My 7 year old granddaughter is always shocked when she looks in my trashcan and sees the "many" Hi Chew wrappers. She tells me that I am eating way too many. I laugh and tell her that when she is 72 years old, she can eat as many as she wants, too! I have introduced this candy to many adults and they always seem to go out and buy some for themselves! Just great candy!
